Here’s Why I Will Come Back To Dubai Soon

flight experiences around the world-51

Do you want to find out why I will come back to Dubai soon?

I want Dubai to be a place where everybody from all over the world meets each other, don’t think of fighting or hate, just love it, enjoy their sport, and that’s it.

– Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

I like Dubai. I didn’t think I would, but after spending there 10 days I could not help it and loved how different it is. I fell for its ultra-modernity, massive avenues, and skyscrapers but also for its desert sunrises from hot air balloons, views atop high buildings, water sports awesomeness and even public transportation service. I fell for Dubai in a way I know I will be back soon to continue this love affair that started a couple of years back.

So it is about time that I head to the Middle East again. And when I finally make that happen, this is what I definitely do not want to miss this time:

My 2nd Round Dubai Wish List

1. Live a proper desert experience

Hot Air Balloon Ride over Dubai’s desert, UAE.

Like going for a Dubai desert safari and staying there for a couple of nights at a glamping site, having delicious meals cooked a few meters away, and simply enjoying a slow-paced getaway before going back to the madness this city can be.

Indeed, this one needed to be the first one on my list of things why I will come back to Dubai soon!

2. Skydive over Palm Jumeirah

Because there is nothing like stepping out of your comfort zone to feel alive and this is something I need to try before leaving this world. And all the pictures I have seen from this experience are just amazing! Agree?

3. Checking some more Dubai rooftops

Last week during the Inflow Travel Summit Istanbul, I met Pixelville, a talented Dubai-based Instagram content creator.

As Arabadonline published: This anonymous Dubai-centered account gives you a glimpse at the breathtaking aesthetics of the city from above. A true photographic mastermind, the travel and landscape photographer behind Pixelville is on a perpetual mission to capture skylines and cityscapes from unconventional angles, with special emphasis on aerial views.

Her pictures are mind-blowing and this account reminds me how much I love capturing cityscapes from above. Dubai, on the other hand, was born for that!

4. Getting lost in Deira and Dubai creek

Because it is a bit of a shame that I left Dubai without visiting this area! Deira is the oldest part of Dubai and one full of life for that matter, and urban art, cheap boat rides, and deli food. Can’t wait to go back and check it out properly!

5. Party in Dubai on a Thursday night

Again, on my first visit, I did not have time to party as I do. And as weekends start on Thursday night, the best night to go out and have a few drinks gotta be Thursday!

6. Snap a few shots of the sunset from Jumeirah beach

I might or might not be influenced by all those gorgeous Instagram shots of flowy dresses against the light at sunset on this beach. But hey, sunsets and beaches is our thing too.

In fact, we even take that kind of shots sometimes around our base – Galicia. So it is about time we take a few at Jumeirah beach as well.

7. Explore one of its water parks for adults

Like Wild Wadi. Or any other really. I am not picky.

But I cannot imagine anything better to do than going into a few water rides when Dubai is at its hottest. The picture here was taken on a boat ride around Dubai’s marina and not a waterpark but anyway, it was a LOT of fun!

8. Give kite surfing a try at Kite Beach

I have said this a lot lately. So much that either in Dubai or somewhere else I really need to get myself to try kite surfing ASAP. And with a beach called Kite Beach, it should be an easy thing to do.

9. Have breakfast or dinner at the restaurant on top of Burj Khalifa

And pray for morning fog or sunset epic clouds to make it all better.

Last time in Dubai I only went up to check sunset – although I ended up arriving at the blue hour already because the queues were pretty big. That’s why all my pictures from the Burj Khalifa are at night!

10. Go on a seaplane scenic ride

Ever since I went on a seaplane in Sri Lanka – one of the flight experiences everyone should try at least once – I am dying to experience that rush again. Will Dubai be the place where I finally can make it happen?

Hopefully, it will. Very soon.

Meanwhile, let me know what I could be missing! I would love to add your suggestions to this wish list.

So far, thanks to the one that suggested MOTF Museum of the Future!
