A whole day in Estoril.
No given tasks but my freelancing job. A whole day in a hotel room in Estoril sounds much more realistic.
Tempting pristine turquoise blue pool 25 metres below my terrace, gorgeous Portugal seaside 50 meters away.
Stop calling my name! I mean it, need to get work done first!
And god knows how much I love jumping in the water! So after getting my job done and catching up with my Kerala Blog Express buddies Gaia and Roxanne, I ran to the pool and treated myself to some absolute disconnection for a while.
At 6pm, this Portugal Food Stories tour kicked off with a tranquil welcome dinner at the hip, tastefully decorated and laid-back Boteco da Linha Restaurante & Bar, a few blocks away Eden Hotel, where we are staying tonight. About 10 different dishes were served in what it could be a light intro to Portuguese petiscos. Cured meats, seafood, veggy tempura, spinach and cheese pastries, croquettes, marinated olives, mushrooms. And a cinnamon spiced and chilled sangria that was like perfection to me.
But hold on there, you pool, this place has no shortage of beaches so I might just skip you and jump in the Atlantic instead!
Tomorrow we’ll be leaving Estoril and Lisbon region to head North, more precisely, we’ll be fishing in Peniche. That’ll be in about 5 hours so it’s time to get some rest!
Enjoy your evening and come back tomorrow for more Portugal goodness!

I came to Portugal to take part on a 2 weeks food tour around the country after winning the Portugal Food Stories contest by Aptece along with other 4 international bloggers. Anyway, all the opinions here are my own. Read all the articles about this awesome trip here.
