Portugal Food Stories Day 8 – Wine, Design and Jewish Legacy

Portugal Food Stories – Quinta do Vallado – A World to Travel
Douro valley. Awe-inspiring natural scenery and a unique opportunity to embark on an enthralling journey to one of the centres of Portugal’s soul and traditions though its inhabitants.

And great wines.

I got the first envy messages of the whole trip. Jose, who was in Russia working hard at the time, would of course enjoy the visit to Quinta do Vallado. A lot.

Perhaps as much as I did with the one to the restaurant and hotel, right besides the cellar.

Stairway to heaven Another #portugalfoodstories gorgeous pool at #QuintaDoVallado !

A grand day could only come to an end in a special way. And Trancoso was up to the circumstances.

A powerful jewish heritage and a castle that has seen about 8 centuries and three main religions ruling the town got our group’s attention immediately.

That, followed by a great Kosher products tasting as the Jewish tradition dictates, where nothing has been added but natural ingredients and processes, and finally a filling dinner and we were full and happy ready to catch some sleep.

Time goes by so fast when you are having fun.
