…before arriving to our hotel for the night, Convento do Espinheiro, in Evora.
Classic #portugalfoodstories 800 years old and full of history convent refurbished as a Luxury Collection hotel featuring drop dead gorgeous pools. What’s not to love? Una foto publicada por A World to Travel (@aworldtotravel) el
Oh my. If only I could stay there for a few days more!
This is the deal. An old convent, that used to host priests has been restored and it is nowadays a Starwood property part of The Luxury Collection.
And the luxury part is not just a fancy word to add to its name. Instead, you can actually find it pretty much everywhere.
Featuring an alabastro wine bar in a gothic chapel, a dream restaurant, the finest cuisine, its own church, two stunning pools, design furniture, more space in your room than the one you could actually use in one night, many hectares of gardens, vineyards, light. And the city of Evora around the corner.
After enjoying the pool for a while, we were off to Evora to stroll around its labyrinth of steep streets and shoot the sunset from Diana’s temple before coming back to our exclusive hotel and having an exquisite dinner surrounded by dozens of thin and elegant columns and gothic arches. Fancy.
Sad to leave @conventodoespinheiro Such a drop dead gorgeous place! #portugalfoodstories Una foto publicada por A World to Travel (@aworldtotravel) el
