No words can explain how many times you will be wanting to stop on your way North from Sagres to Alentejo region if you choose the scenic coastal route.
Curves, cliffs and beaches will definitely change your vision of Portugal if you had never made it there before.
Mandatory stops are St. Vincent Cape, Amado – where I jumped in the water – and Carrapateira beaches and Cabo Sardao. It is up to you if you want to stop every five min to snap another stunning and luminous pic, jump in the Atlantic ocean or grab a bite.

Our lunch took place at Vila Nova de Milfontes, near where I had camped five years back with my friends, in a cozy restaurant facing the sea.
By the time we finally got to the hotel, the pool was so appealing that I couldn’t do anything else than swimming. Priorities are priorities.

But we left just on time to capture the sunset once again. This time at Carretas Beach, barely 5km away from we were staying for the night.

There was also a time for brief chat at dusk with some locals giving fishing a try, and we were off to dinner in the same hotel. The last proper dinner of the whole trip. Big time!
