With a well-preserved Renaissance appearance and a vibrant and colorful cultural scene, this Italian hill town in the Marche Region, became part of the World Heritage List by Unesco in 1998.
Here’s a little portrait of the lively Historic Centre of Urbino. All the pictures were taken in November 2013 during my visit to explore why the city should also qualify as a European City of Culture in 2019.
Disclosure: Although I was kindly invited to visit this magnificent city by Marche Region and the city of Urbino to raise awareness about the candidacy of Urbino for becoming European city of culture in 2019; all opinions, as always, are my own.

Thanks so much Suvidha!
Some wonderful images. As a photographer, I’m feeling a bit jealous of these images. Nice job. Keep it up man.
One of the lesser-known but no less beautiful places in Italy. Wonderful angles on the pics, bravo!
Beautiful “old world”, and one can see why it’s part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Thanks for highlighting this place!
