When we got the Grand Trunk Double Hammock last July, I wasn’t so sure it was something I’d fall for after giving it a try. Since I had never used one before, the fact the hammock was that light made me doubt about its capacity of holding two people. And doing it comfortably.
But it did. Back from the USA, we finally gave it the time it deserved and used and abused it for a while back home in Spain.
Main specifications
High-strength, mildew-resistant parachute nylon with triple-stitched seams
Nautical-grade hanging carabiners can hold up to 400 pounds (you and your special one, three or four little ones or any other combination!)
Rope and hanging instructions included
Dimensions: 126″L x 78″W, it’s one of the largest hammocks you can find.
It stuffs tightly into an attached stuff sack.
What we love
Weighting around just 20 oz, it is really easy to set and start enjoying it once you get two standing poles or big enough tree benches.
Comfortable and effective, tough and great quality; taking a nap alone or with another person is something you can’t miss.
Its design and colors are also looking great and you can take it wherever you go since it won’t take that much room in your backpack or suitcase!
You can sleep dry and off the ground, staying away from annoying bugs.
Really affordable (around $60)
It’s so much fun!
What could be improved
Honestly, we think it’s just perfect the way it is! If we had to say something, we’d ask for a guaranteeing that trees don’t suffer! Holding two people could harm them at some point.
Disclosure of material connection: Although we received a Grand Trunk Double Hammock in consideration for review publication; all opinions are our own.
