24h in Ile-de-France

Want a jam-packed itinerary for your 24 hours in Île-de-France? Feel like spending a few bucks outside Paris? Ok, then continue reading. You asked for it but no one said it was going to be relaxed.

8am. Get a car, motorbike or chofeur. The upcoming tight schedule is not doable on public transport

9am. Château Vaux-le-Vicomte. Three centuries old and home to stories I won’t reveal here but absolutely worth listening to from someone in the know, it inspired Versalles and was meant to be one of the pretiest at the time. Renaissance gardens, perspective games, decandent high ceiling rooms and hidden pools complete the visit. Make sure to visit the roof top lookout. Your best pictures await you there!

11am. Picnic in the chateau magnificent green surroundings. The chateau beauty resides also in its isolated location. As a result, there are nor restaurants or cafes close by so, if the weather is nice, you can enjoy the French countryside and unfold a picnic table cloth on the grass. It doesn’t get much better than that!

12am. Parc des Felins. If you have had your architecture dose already and feel like going back to your roots; this semi-wilderness park features cheetahs, lions, leopards, lemurs, tigers and up to 40 different species to keep you busy for an hour or two. Unbeatable when all you can’t stop dreaming of Tanzania honeymoons filled with amazing safaris..

2pm. Disneyland Paris. Get a Fast Pass to jump the queues (although you’ll still have to wait for some minutes before the main gigs) and start bringing back your childhood memories. From thrilling rides to chilling attractions, there is something for everybody in this amusement park world-known destination. By the way, did you know they have another by its side? And another one coming? (we were told so .. 😉

5pm. Grand Parade. Of course, you’ve made it to Disneyland and you cannot miss the main daily event. Change festival goers for Mickey Mouse fanatic kids and you’ll get an idea. All the main Disney characters line up and get on a rail for everybody else to enjoy half hour of fun.

6pm. Buffalo Bill Show. Indians and cowboys. We enjoyed a BBQ style dinner while watching a Western like spectacle. Picture a huge audience divided in different teams, cowboy hats and buffalos on stage.

We could propose you some more fun, but at this point you probably are exhausted and deserve some proper rest. Don’t you think?

Nice alternative itinerary! Next time in Paris I think I guess I could try one of these proposals 🙂 I’m curious about Parc Des Felins… haven’t been there (yet 😀 )
